harry potter is coming to town

Yes, yes, yes.. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be in cinemas tomorrow!!
So those of you, Harry Potter fans, grab a ticket fast before it solds out ^^

It's been a while, about two weeks, I think. We ate dinner together with pikko and jengko to celebrate dad's birthday last week. Nothing much happen between my last entry and now, actually.

Oh, I'm in the process of opening an online store (still secret though ^^) just wait for the good news.
Soo, approximately a bit more than one month of holiday left. But when you count those days for mentoring tranning and mentoring at UPH festival, it's cut to about 3 weeks.
I can't wait to meet the new med students of uph. I hope they're great, especially that I'm going to be one of the mentors (please, let me have those nice people).
Okay, so I'm uploading a video of the last song (Heal the World) sung during Michael Jackson's Memorial Service. It's taking and will take a long time coz it's about 600MB (uh huh, the video is like 4 or 5 minutes long), but it's worth it though, when what you recorded won't happen again.

When I think again about the memorial service, I realized that people will feel the sorrow, will feel the loss of someone important in history, after that person has died. An example is Michael Jackson. I don't think people ponder THAT much during his shows, but after he died, people began to craze about his albums, his songs, and began to want to get anything related to Michael Jackson (Jacko).

I cried very hard when his daughter, Paris, spoke in the memorial service. It was, indeed, touching, except for those probably who don't have the "heart", they wouldn't care to cry. I still remember her facial expression, her voice, when she said "He is the best daddy ever" between her cries. And when she said "I love you, daddy" tears flooded my cheeks. It was extremely touching. I'll post the link as soon as the upload finishes.

ubud.mom dad's anniversary

Had short visit to Guwang for only about 20 minutes or so.

Headed to Bebek Bengil for lunch, but we stopped by Ibu Oka's Suckling Pig. Took pictures for a while after we ate, then headed to Ubud Traditional Market.

We did ate Black Russian Pie, then had about 3 pieces for take away.
We're planning to stop here at Ubud Traditional Market for only about 30 minutes to one hour, but I bet we're going to take longer than that. It's 13.20 now and we're planning to see the sunset at Kudeta after a short stop at home to take a bath and prepare for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

Can't wait for dinner...

discovering kuta

We took off from home kind of late,at about 1145 wita because the car was used by my dad for his appointment. We headed to Kuta area to eat lunch.

At first, we planned to eat at Rasa Sayang in Teuku Umar, but we finally agreed on Laota, a Chinese Restaurant in Kuta. Food was very delicious, all of us were satisfied. We ate sour sweet fish, rainbow porridge (their speciality), seafood sapo tahu, and fried shrimp with mayonnaise. Along the way, we had a short stop at Santo Fransiskus Xaverius church near J Boutique Hotel to ask about their Holy Eukarist schedule for today and tomorrow, since Mom and Dad's anniversary is tomorrow.

Afterwards, we drove to Discovery Mall Kartika Plaza just to walk around, to see what's up there, also to take a short visit to Ocean27.

We planned to have dinner there to celebrate my parents' anniversary. The waiter had to take some papers about their menus or something like that and they took such a long time that we decided to walk around the mall first while mom and dad wait there. Soon, we met them and they said something that I'm unsure of, then we all started to look around the mall.

s.k.l (seminyak.kuta.legian)

We took short drive to Bali Bakery. They were having their 15th birthday,so they served complimentary mini cakes with chocolate fountain.

We took another drive to Bali Deli to see the so-called delicious menus. Then we had a short visit to Bintang supermarket to buy some essential daily needs, such as 'women' needs, aqua and all those things. We headed to Seminyak area to look for Ultimo restaurant to look at its menu and to book for dinner.
Believe it or not, it's completely booked, my mom had to plead so that we're able to eat there for dinner. Headed towards body and soul to shop.

Mom and dad planned to have some reflexology while we walk around the area, but it was kind of hard to find one with a reasonable price. We thought about going to carrefour, but due to our shortage in gasoline, we headed to the gas station and then to Ultimo area.

We still have 1.5 hours, so we had a slow drive around the area near Ultimo so that we'll be in time for 6pm, the hour we booked at Ultimo.

feeling unwell

The third day at Bali, we are in Renon to drop off my dad and will soon be heading towards the city to eat lunch at Merthadani, I think that's the name. Its speciality is similar to Warung Wardhani, nasi campur.

At first, we were planning to go to Kuta and Seminyak area, but it seems we'll go there after lunch. Currently waiting for my dad and he's finished. And mom, is as usual, kind of pissed of waiting him for a few moments.

suckling pig

Woke up at about 730 bali time and we headed to Pasar Seni Sukawati to buy authentic things there.
We spent about 1 to 2 hours at Guwang first, then about 1 to 2 hours at Sukawati. Bought some shirts and other things, plenty of them, I think.

After 10 to 15 minutes of driving from Sukawati, we arrived at Ibu Oka's new Babi Guling restaurant in Ubud. Usually, we eat at the same restaurant but located near Ubud Traditional Market. However, they built another restaurant in a different location. Some say that the old location is way crowded than in this location because foreigners love 'traditional' environment, they wanted something new, since they are in Bali.

Okayy the food is served! One bowl of Babi Gulingg is coming, my stomach!

first dinner at Jimbaran

After an about two hour rest at home, we're finally on our way to Jimbaran to eat dinner. Passed Simpang Siur, Matahari Bali Galeria and all those places.

Not to boast, but it's been a long time since we last eat at Jimbaran, specifically in 2007.

Tomorrow mami isn't joining us because she has an appointment with her friend, but she'll make it for dinner. I hope so.

The traffic on the way back seems to be jammed, a long line of cars. I hope it won't be jammed on our way back, I hope the jam is temporary...

after lunch

We just ate nasi campur at Warung Wardhani, their speciality. Driving through sunset road, we are heading towards Benoa, the place where you can find lots of boats.

Along the way, of course, me, my sisters and mami took some pictures.
We're planning to go to Seminyak area to take a short visit to Bali Deli just to take a peak at their menu and to buy some bread.

I'm not sure where we will go next coz there aren't actually any fixed plans. We might plan to head to Kuta, but then, on the way, we might change destination.

One thing's for sure, we love to eat, to take a drive anywhere the road leads to, and then eat.

I love the culture here. The people are friendly and it is way safer here than in Jakarta.

the second day

I was only able to sleep for about 3 to 4 days last night. I woke up at 5am wita and wasn't able to sleep again until now. I layed down on the bed for about one hour or so, but still, I wasn't able to sleep. I expected to be sleepy while listening to music in my handphone, but I still can't. I think it was because of espresso from the lounge and tea from the airplane. And now my eyes are so tired, but I don't think I want to sleep right now.

We're currently on the way to GatSu in Denpasar to go somewhere I'm not sure of then we'll head to the famous ayam betutu at West GatSu (my mom said so). Afterwards, we're probably head somewhere else in the city.

My granny just bought food (fried stuff, snacks and balinese rice noodle).

So, we're on our way......

and another

18th May 2009 night's dream

This was a fairly short dream. I was with three to four of my friends, along with the others as well, and I bet this was involving Senate of FKUPH because the people that were in my dream were all from the senate. It was as if we were in a Makrab (Malam Akrab), but I'm not sure because we were planning no something as a group.

One of the things we did were buying cardboards to make signs (I honestly don't know what were the signs for), then buy other things that I forgot what it were. I was, as if, the leader of the group because each of my friends were asking me what their duty was, what they should buy and that sort of stuff. Then I told them that if they weren't able to find those things I asked them to buy, they should ask me because I might be able to find them.

The next thing I knew, I was in an area near my house (I'm definitely sure about that place because I had to stand by there to wait for the bus to go to FK campus), where all of us met and headed somewhere that I'm unsure of.

This was the weirdest dream I have ever dreamt of because the plot of the story was unclear and I didn't understand what this dream was actually about...

yet another

17th May 2009 night's dream

I was in a car along with four of my friends, one of them being the driver because it was his car. Then we arrived at this harbor with lots of small rooms available for daily rent. At first I was alone, but soon more and more FKUPH students appeared. Each of us were trying to find their own room.

I didn't exactly remember what happened next, but all I knew was that we were in the in front of a tan colored fortress and someone was trying to explain to us about the founder the fortress and who made it official. It was a boy who made it official by burning the big torch placed in the middle of the fortress. Behind us was the harbor.

Soon afterwards, the fortress disappeared and turned into blue colored steel bridges. Two to three more blue colored steel bridges appeared, located separate from each other and I soon realize that we were in the middle of the sea, half soaked with sea water. I remember beside me was a friend of mine and many others were there as well but were spreaded out. That "someone" then told us that the size of the area being surrounded by the so-called fortress decreases each day or month or year (I forgot). When that "someone" finished the sentence, the bridge seemed to move to indicate how much it decreases the area it surrounds. This is very very weird because logically, to "decrease" the area means that it will move towards us, not towards the sea. However, at first it did move towards us because I remember I was standing below one of those bridges and it moved towards the back. A moment later, the bridge then moved towards the front and further front and in the end, it was way far in front of us.

We all then went back towards the harbor and back to each of our cars that we rode on our way to the harbor, but I had to ride my other friend's car because his car was empty. As we head our way back, we had to pass those little harbors (about four to five of them) then headed the main road. These harbors were similar to a deserted because no one was here, yet it looked like as if someone had taken-care of that harbor. It still had the "nice panorama" of a harbor with its view towards the lovely sea. Comparing with the harbors in the real world, it was similar to a harbor in Sydney near the Opera House, the harbor that I went to when we were on our way to the zoo or something, I forgot.

So then.. another dream......

another dream

All I remembered from 16th May 2009 dream, I was standing at the edge (near
the beach) of a bridge of a small harbor built out of wood. In front of me
are two rows of cooked seafood, one row on the left side of the bridge and
one row on the right side. Each dish was cooked in a different way. I still
can remember a variety of dish of fish, vegetables, shrimp and all sorts of
seafood. My oldest uncle was cooking something on the left side of the
bridge, near the center part of the bridge, smiling at me while I was
admiring at each dish one by one. It was kind of like a extended family
reunion, combining mom's and dad's family.

On the right side of the bridge, I saw my mom, and a few others I did not
recognize. Each of them were busy cooking fish, shrimp and whatever it may
be. As I walked further, someone tapped my shoulder. I forgot who it was,
but she asked me whether I would like to accompany her to the toilet or not.
I wouldn't reject because I didn't have anything specific to do that time.

Time was then fast-forwarded to when we were in the toilet. I walked back
and forth while waited for her. I remember I was in the toilet for quite a
long time, but not a very very long time. However, a moment later (but it
seemed it was such a long time afterwards), we were on the way out to join
the crowd, which wasn't that loaded with people compared to when we left to
the toilet. Adults were sitting, staring at my oldest auntie from my dad.
She was standing in front, saying something relating to the law or something
like that, I'm not so sure. All the grown-ups were carefully listening to
her.

Because I didn't had the chance to eat earlier, I took one plate, not
a clean one, beccause all clean plates have been used to eat. So I
took one of those plate which was actually used to present the cooked
food, then took some seafood to eat. I tried to find either sauted
potatoes or cooked rice, but there isn't any.

Soon I was woken up by the alarm of my handphone...

dream

During the night of 15th May 2009...

Once again, as it did happen to almost any other nights, I dreamt. However, it was not a nightmare this time, but still it didn't make sense.
So I dreamt that both of my sisters and myself were in sitting in a big theatre or drama room.. I was looking at all the things present in that room, including the stage with intricated heavy-weight red theatre curtains, Mr Geoff (SPH Karawaci's Drama teacher ---- I seriously don't know what he's doing in my dream), a few workers finishing of decorations for the stage, a few of my friends from both SPH and BiNus, and a few others that I don't know..
A few seconds afterwards, Mr Geoff was screaming this and that to the workers, giving directions where he wanted this and that to be placed in the theatre room. Along came many camera-clicking noise from the back door, which of course came from the paparazi, and came someone kind of bald, speaking Chinese, wearing a dark gray Chinese dress, accompanied by no one. I forgot what he said, but I'm sure that he said something about the theatre room, in Chinese. What were the paparazi doing outside, near the back door? I don't know. Maybe the drama that will be acted on this particular stage starred those popular?? I don't know, but I'm sure that important, popular people were invited to watch this drama.

Moments afterwards, came a guy (I bet he's a worker) with a big bag filled with chocolate, I supposed. And I was right, it was filled with big bars of Hershey's Pure Chocolate bars. Omaimai, my eyes were surely gleaming. "Are you guys ready for these chocolates??" the guy asked. Of course we answered "yes!!!" enthusiastically. I tried to reach out for the bag, but I don't know why, my youngest sister was suddenly sitting on my lap so I wasn't able to reach for it. As he poured out everything there was in that bag, I was finally able to get reach of the bag and grabbed 2 to 3 handfulls of Hershey's Pure Chocolate bars, which means I should have had around 16 to 20 Hershey's chocolate bars and about 1 or 2 packs, which contain chocolate bars and candies. I asked my oldest sister to help me place the chocolate bars I'm handing to her beside me. However, when I was trying to put every single chocolate bars I could grab into my bag (I was using a small purple Kipling bag, around 30x5x15 cm maybe), I only counted around 5 to 6 chocolate bars! I was seriously confused that time because I was sure I grabbed more than that.

Sitting next to me was someone fat, who was referred to as Mary Poppins in my dream. To my inisiative, I hold out 2 pieces of candies, the only 2 that I got, to her, asking, "Do you want these?". I was actually asking whether she wanted one of them, not both. Oh well, she grabbed both candies, the only candies that I had.

The time suddenly fast-forwarded to a few minutes later when the scene changed. We were somewhere in the oldies when there were still cowboys with horses, cows, goats and those sort of animals, which means pure drinking water was hard to get. My youngest sister was then walking to the back seat. "What are you doing??" I asked. "Calm down, Cie. Just wait there, alright." She answered. A few minutes later, she came holding 3 tall full-filled drinking cup cartons. "Here, one for you..." handing one cup to me, "one for you..." handing another cup to my oldest sister, "and one for me!" she said holding one for herself.

Then, I was woken up by both the alarm from my handphone, and by a call from someone.....

back from the second vacation

okay, so I wanted to have "continue" my vacation with my cousins, uncle & aunts and I did! just got back this morning (the first flight to Jakarta) from Surabaya and I'm very tired coz last night I slept at around 1 and woke up at 3.30ish then prepared my stuff for the flight back to Jakarta..

sooo.. a bit of flashback, I flew to Surabaya on the 6th, the first flight to Surabaya at 7.50am with both of my sisters.. my auntie and my female cousin (only one) picked us up at Juanda airport then we headed for lunch (each had one big bowl of Rawon) then to my auntie, uncle and granny's house afterwards.. had some snacks (lots of em actually haha) had a short rest for about 3 hours or so then some snacks again, dinner, and again, snacks.. yupp, i ate lots of food! we wanted to eat tahu tek2 but there were no signs of "mas2 kaki lima" who sells tahu tek2 haha

we went to Galaxy Mal on the 7th but bcoz I've been to Surabaya last March, my youngest sis, auntie and I were showing my cousin and my other sis around the mal.. then we had lunch there as well. at night, around 9pm we had our first tahu tek2 and it was sooo gooood! and yup, lots of snack in between meals hahaha

we planned to watch at SuToS the next day, but bcoz it rained really hard the third day, we didn't go anywhere.. we had to move some boxes of photocopy paper from the storage room in the basement to a drier area in the basement bcoz the storage room was flooded.. luckily more than one-third of the room was leveled up with wood pellet so we didn't have to move all of 'em..

then we had a short trip to TP, we watched Saus Kacang, which was really funny.. i laughed a couple of times during the movie.. so does the rest of the people in the theatre room. then we paid a visit to Super Besar, a digital printing and photocopying store coz i heard their products are fab! my dad came and "forced" us to go to his oldest sister's house (my auntie).. we had dinner together, but because I was still full from my lunch (thanks to my fave auntie, who -purposely- ordered loads of food so that we won't ask her to eat before dinner) I didn't eat that much.. well at least I ate something coz isn't it just rude not to eat while everyone is eating..? isn't it..? then we headed home, it was around 8pm.. then watched tv together with my cousin and auntie (I called her "mami")

soo the next day was our official last day of vacation in Surabaya.. the 10th..
woke up at around 530ish for bike riding with both of my sis, cousin and auntie but bcoz they only had 2 bikes which can be used soo my cousin and I each use one bike, and my auntie and both of my sis rode motorcycle.. well at least I had some exercise while my sis doesn't..
then I wasn't feeling well so I stayed at home, sleeping, woke up for lunch then headed back to sleep. maybe it was bcoz of Neozep that I ate or maybe I was just sick, I'm not very sure..

both of my sis and my dad had a little tour to my aunties and uncles' house (sa pek, li ko etc) and prayed for both my granny and grandpa from my dad.. then after they went home, we had dinner together with them (si pek, si em, sa pek and fam, twako, ko tiu).. we had to go at 8.30 coz mami, kulik, both ngkim and my cousins were waiting to pick us up to go to G-Walk coz mami said it's like teens' and young adults' fave place to hang out.. a simple tunnel-like road as if to welcome us and then restaurants side by side on the left and right of the road. and woww, it was loaded with people! it was hard for us to find a place to park the car, so we had to stepped out of the car and go to the restaurant first while kulik parks the car nearby..
arrived home at around 11, then had some time with mami and her laptop.. then I fiddled around with my laptop and internet (from handphone) coz I had been having trouble with 'em.. then head to sleep at around 1..

and now, here I am, home sweet home.. and my dad keeps on calling my sis and I to eat lunch coz I didn't have my breakfast, I was sooo tired that I head to my bed and slept from 8 until around 11 (a short rest afterall) hahaha alrite.. think I better have my lunch now.. coz my stomach keeps on "groaning" hahaha ciao!

quite a while

okay.. it's been quite a while since my last post haha i've been quite busy soo yeah, didn't really have time to write anything..

soo i'm currently having my 3-week holiday (December 22, 2008 until January 12, 2008), just got back from my five-day vacation yesterday to a mountain near Bogor.. stayed there, had lots of fun with my big family (only 15 members, yuuppp a "small" big family)..

we kinda have this "celebrating new year together" for the last 3 or 4 years (I think only 3 years, but I'm not so sure)..

met my mom's friend's family and yup, it was very crowded! about 25-30 ppl gathered.. soo it definitely was something =)

well i didn't have the best birthday, but i was simply happy.. *i'm supposed to be, coz it's my birthday -,-" * but, i was a bit pissed *let's just say only i have to know about that*

my table is currently messy with books, papers, etcetera and i didn't have time to clean it up before my vacation and i'm kinda lazy to clean it up now..
sooo i'll have to face my mom saying "clean up ur table!" every single day.. i'm just hoping for the "cleaning up" mood to get into me haha don't know when but it's gotta be before 12th Jan..

I MISS MY FRIENDS >.< especially FK friends and art bio friends..
i -really- can't wait for 12th Jan to come..

one more thing, i am now in SLR camera fever.. it's because of the vacation! my mom's friend's son brought Canon SLR and his uncle brought Nikon SLR.. and the pictures they took were amazingg!! i'm now very jealous of 'em.. i tried to look for one, but it was just too much to learn (coz i was still tired from the vacation)..

hope i'll find and buy one this month *please pray for me ^^ thanks!!* but my dad's kinda disagree with me.. he was like "what for?? i mean, u'll have to carry it everywhere and point-and-shoot camera suits ur needs better than SLR" finee.. if he doesn't agree, then i'll just find one myself >.<

and i really want to go to jogja.. my auntie, uncle & his wife are there since this morning and my uncle's family's going there 2moro.. darnnn!!! i've been asking my dad and he kept on telling me to ask mom.. and mom kept on telling me to ask dad.. which means, we aren't going anywhere T.T soo sad..
they've been to jogja last lebaran holiday and my family didn't go with 'em and this time we aren't, again..
i'm simply hoping that my parents will bring my fam together with 'em to some place next time.. *crossing my fingers* i mean we missed out a lot of time together with 'em..

and hmm.. still waiting for the next semester's schedule to "pop out" ^^
