harry potter is coming to town

Yes, yes, yes.. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be in cinemas tomorrow!!
So those of you, Harry Potter fans, grab a ticket fast before it solds out ^^

It's been a while, about two weeks, I think. We ate dinner together with pikko and jengko to celebrate dad's birthday last week. Nothing much happen between my last entry and now, actually.

Oh, I'm in the process of opening an online store (still secret though ^^) just wait for the good news.
Soo, approximately a bit more than one month of holiday left. But when you count those days for mentoring tranning and mentoring at UPH festival, it's cut to about 3 weeks.
I can't wait to meet the new med students of uph. I hope they're great, especially that I'm going to be one of the mentors (please, let me have those nice people).
Okay, so I'm uploading a video of the last song (Heal the World) sung during Michael Jackson's Memorial Service. It's taking and will take a long time coz it's about 600MB (uh huh, the video is like 4 or 5 minutes long), but it's worth it though, when what you recorded won't happen again.

When I think again about the memorial service, I realized that people will feel the sorrow, will feel the loss of someone important in history, after that person has died. An example is Michael Jackson. I don't think people ponder THAT much during his shows, but after he died, people began to craze about his albums, his songs, and began to want to get anything related to Michael Jackson (Jacko).

I cried very hard when his daughter, Paris, spoke in the memorial service. It was, indeed, touching, except for those probably who don't have the "heart", they wouldn't care to cry. I still remember her facial expression, her voice, when she said "He is the best daddy ever" between her cries. And when she said "I love you, daddy" tears flooded my cheeks. It was extremely touching. I'll post the link as soon as the upload finishes.

ubud.mom dad's anniversary

Had short visit to Guwang for only about 20 minutes or so.

Headed to Bebek Bengil for lunch, but we stopped by Ibu Oka's Suckling Pig. Took pictures for a while after we ate, then headed to Ubud Traditional Market.

We did ate Black Russian Pie, then had about 3 pieces for take away.
We're planning to stop here at Ubud Traditional Market for only about 30 minutes to one hour, but I bet we're going to take longer than that. It's 13.20 now and we're planning to see the sunset at Kudeta after a short stop at home to take a bath and prepare for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe.

Can't wait for dinner...

discovering kuta

We took off from home kind of late,at about 1145 wita because the car was used by my dad for his appointment. We headed to Kuta area to eat lunch.

At first, we planned to eat at Rasa Sayang in Teuku Umar, but we finally agreed on Laota, a Chinese Restaurant in Kuta. Food was very delicious, all of us were satisfied. We ate sour sweet fish, rainbow porridge (their speciality), seafood sapo tahu, and fried shrimp with mayonnaise. Along the way, we had a short stop at Santo Fransiskus Xaverius church near J Boutique Hotel to ask about their Holy Eukarist schedule for today and tomorrow, since Mom and Dad's anniversary is tomorrow.

Afterwards, we drove to Discovery Mall Kartika Plaza just to walk around, to see what's up there, also to take a short visit to Ocean27.

We planned to have dinner there to celebrate my parents' anniversary. The waiter had to take some papers about their menus or something like that and they took such a long time that we decided to walk around the mall first while mom and dad wait there. Soon, we met them and they said something that I'm unsure of, then we all started to look around the mall.

s.k.l (seminyak.kuta.legian)

We took short drive to Bali Bakery. They were having their 15th birthday,so they served complimentary mini cakes with chocolate fountain.

We took another drive to Bali Deli to see the so-called delicious menus. Then we had a short visit to Bintang supermarket to buy some essential daily needs, such as 'women' needs, aqua and all those things. We headed to Seminyak area to look for Ultimo restaurant to look at its menu and to book for dinner.
Believe it or not, it's completely booked, my mom had to plead so that we're able to eat there for dinner. Headed towards body and soul to shop.

Mom and dad planned to have some reflexology while we walk around the area, but it was kind of hard to find one with a reasonable price. We thought about going to carrefour, but due to our shortage in gasoline, we headed to the gas station and then to Ultimo area.

We still have 1.5 hours, so we had a slow drive around the area near Ultimo so that we'll be in time for 6pm, the hour we booked at Ultimo.

feeling unwell

The third day at Bali, we are in Renon to drop off my dad and will soon be heading towards the city to eat lunch at Merthadani, I think that's the name. Its speciality is similar to Warung Wardhani, nasi campur.

At first, we were planning to go to Kuta and Seminyak area, but it seems we'll go there after lunch. Currently waiting for my dad and he's finished. And mom, is as usual, kind of pissed of waiting him for a few moments.

suckling pig

Woke up at about 730 bali time and we headed to Pasar Seni Sukawati to buy authentic things there.
We spent about 1 to 2 hours at Guwang first, then about 1 to 2 hours at Sukawati. Bought some shirts and other things, plenty of them, I think.

After 10 to 15 minutes of driving from Sukawati, we arrived at Ibu Oka's new Babi Guling restaurant in Ubud. Usually, we eat at the same restaurant but located near Ubud Traditional Market. However, they built another restaurant in a different location. Some say that the old location is way crowded than in this location because foreigners love 'traditional' environment, they wanted something new, since they are in Bali.

Okayy the food is served! One bowl of Babi Gulingg is coming, my stomach!

first dinner at Jimbaran

After an about two hour rest at home, we're finally on our way to Jimbaran to eat dinner. Passed Simpang Siur, Matahari Bali Galeria and all those places.

Not to boast, but it's been a long time since we last eat at Jimbaran, specifically in 2007.

Tomorrow mami isn't joining us because she has an appointment with her friend, but she'll make it for dinner. I hope so.

The traffic on the way back seems to be jammed, a long line of cars. I hope it won't be jammed on our way back, I hope the jam is temporary...
